Whimsy Home Wednesday No. 43

Welcome to the Whimsy Home Wednesday Link Party. Today we are sharing the chosen posts from Whimsy Home Wednesday No. 42.

I apologize to those of you who have been linking up each week, I have not been able to get to each and every link the past few weeks.  I enjoy supporting our blogging communities, but I am a bit overwhelmed lately.  Life, that darn little guy, I call him a guy since he has to be, right?  Throwing a wrench into my plans... kidding of course, about the guy part, but not so about being overwhelmed.

In other news, I recently had the opportunity to try pheasant eggs, and can I tell you they are awesome?  A gentleman who works with my husband brought them in and asked if anyone was interested in trying them.  He thought of me since I have been all about trying new things in 2023.

I was delighted, as you can see, they are small.  If memory serves, I believe I had seven eggs in a regular sized ramekin.  The coloring is beautiful having some green, and then an almost parchment color as well.  I highly recommend if you have never tried them.

I considered making Deviled Eggs with them, but have not had the time to give it a go.  I thought they would be darling being as small as they are.  Earlier this year, I had my first Farm Fresh Eggs, what a treat that was, see trying new things around here.  😉

Whimsical Home Projects From Our Features

Congratulations to the featured posts of Whimsy Home Wednesday! I enjoy being able to visit each post to see what other's are up to around the web, don't you?

This week, I am excited to share Beth with Whispers of the Heart and her Grandma's Depression Glass on a Summer Tablescape, and her Tablecloth too!  I fell in love with each piece, and the story of how Beth's table came to be.

I am sure you have learned by now, I am a sucker for just about anything vintage.  The tablecloth reminded me of hand-painted linens of the past.  She even came across napkins that complimented the table perfectly.  This also goes to show you red and green is not just for Christmas.  Go ahead, go check out her table and how it all came together.

  3. Thank you so much for hosting! Last week I was feeling very overwhelmed. I hope this week treats you better and is less overwhelming. I love that you were able to try out those eggs. I tried farm-fresh eggs when I was a little girl. My mother had a neighbor who would bring us over some. It is always nice trying new things.

    1. It will go well Debbie, especially a lot of care and prayer. Unfortunately, we were not so blessed, but that is how we ended up with our ornery pup Bentley. <3
