Welcome to the Whimsy Home Wednesday Link Party. Today we are sharing the chosen posts from Whimsy Home Wednesday No. 36.
I am happy to report you chose more crafty ideas, I was happy to do whichever my readers were most interested in. That doesn't mean I might not sneak in a recipe every now and then though. 😉
I am happy to report our driveway gate has finally been installed. Initially, we were told it would be 5-7 weeks, and nearly 3 months later, we have a GATE! Can I tell you how happy our pup is? He no longer needs to share his yard with the dog who kept encroaching on his space! We were tired of cleaning up after him, and I honestly wasn't sure what would happen if they met face to face. It has been my experience Rottweilers can be more aggressive dogs.
Do you see how tuckered out he is from running the full length of the yard and playing with his toys? He looks like he may melt into the grass. One sleepy puppy means parents may get more sleep around here. Halleluiah!
I have had many ideas floating through this brain of mine for our backyard now that we will have more space to expand in our yard and utilize the entire space, but I am thinking we may wait until next year to do anything so I can really dig in and decide what would be best around here. I never seem to be happy when I make rash decisions.
Congratulations to the featured posts of Whimsy Home Wednesday! I enjoy being able to visit each post to see what other's are up to around the web.

Cara, thank you so much for hosting. It looks like Bentley had a fun time playing in the backyard since the gate has been up. We're currently doing work on our backyard. We had some flooding take place recently, so we are doing repairs. I am sure your plans for your yard will end up looking wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry to hear about flooding Stephanie, water can wreak havoc on a home, we have had to work with water issues before. YUCK! Bentley is loving his yard now, no more leash! I will need to share some video of the stinker running with his ball. It is quite comical. I wish you luck in your repairs and new projects. I am not sure what we will come up with for the yard just yet. When I thought we had it figured it out, something happened this weekend that we decided may not be the best approach. Still figuring it out...
DeleteCara,
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful July 4th Holiday!!
Glad to hear that you finally got that gate!!! I bet you are thrilled!!!
Thanks again for hosting this charming party every week! I know how much time goes into doing so and I want you to know that it I truly appreciate it!! I hope you have a great week!
Hugs,
Deb
I hope you had a Happy 4th too Deb! Yes, finally after waiting for nearly 3 months the gate is installed. The process was actually much longer, but the actual waiting of the installation took that long. A lot of back and forth that I did not think was really necessary, oh well, it is in, and we are loving our privacy! So happy you joined us this week!
DeleteYour dog is so precious! Thanks for hosting such a fun party and have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteOh Donna, he is so ornery, but we wouldn't have him any other way, we like that he keeps us on our toes! Happy you are here!
DeleteHi Cara, thanks so much for having us over. Happy July!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you Debra! Hope you enjoyed the holiday. We have one busy pup to keep occupied in the yard now. LOL.
DeleteLove this capture so much, Cara! We live on 3 acres and while the property is fenced and gated I would love to have a smaller area for Piper to run around. Your dog seems to love it so I'm hoping Piper will too. Thanks so much for all your sweet comments and for the feature this week too. I really appreciate it! Hugs and hope you're having a happy summer, CoCo
ReplyDeleteI know Piper will love it! We had a fenced in yard, but the driveway was always a stumbling block for us. Bentley always had to be taken out on a leash and we would walk when I was feeling up to it at our local fairgrounds. With the gate being installed, he is loving life now and constantly wants to go outside, run around and see what sorts of mischief he can get into.
DeleteThank you, thank you and again thank you so much for the feature of the snowballs. Hope your mom and you will enjoy it as well as the readers. I am honored to be part of your linkup.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome Esme, I am so glad you have joined us. I am betting those snowballs are the best! Can't wait to get back in the kitchen and give them a try.
DeleteTHANK YOU, Cara for featuring my Dollar Tree Flip Flop Welcome sign this week! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome Beth, it is adorable! Flip flops are the only thing I wear in the summer.
DeleteSo many great features. Summer is such a fun time to do little diy projects and enjoy the garden.
ReplyDeleteI agree, but I also love fall outdoors too. I wish I had a garden like yours, I am afraid it would be a whole lot of dead plants though.
DeleteI did it again,lol... commented without adding my name:))))
ReplyDeleteCara, what a pain about your gate, but glad it's finally installed! We've a similar waiting process for landscaping that we hired out. They keep pushing the timeline back and back. Uhg.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you! Niky
I know how you feel, you are at their mercy these days. I am patient, until I am not, lol! I was getting to the not so patient part. I hope your landscaping turns out, we are getting into the hottest part of summer, yikes, and I hope they get to you very soon! Everything these days is a waiting game. Hope you enjoy your weekend too!
