When Mr. Vintage and I were planning our wedding we were traveling to many antique shops to find unique display pieces for the reception. We found a shop in Zanesville, Ohio that had an amazing courtyard. In order to look at the owner's different shops, you had to travel through the courtyard. I loved this area and took many photos, I found a lot of inspiration in this area and wanted to share it with y'all.
I tried to locate this shop after we were married, but was unable to locate it. I wanted to go back and visit since she had unique items and her courtyard was quite inspiring. You can let me know if you agree or not. I love all of the quirky things around, it adds so much character.
Side note: I spoke with someone from Zanesville and described this lovely area, the person told me that the owner had passed away and her gardens were not maintained, what a shame.
What do you think? I love the paths, the large river rocks around the smaller round beds, even the chairs hanging from the wrought iron fence with plants, the railing from a porch on the side of the brick building, the brass bed footboards planted in the ground... need I go on? I would love to be able to have something like this in my backyard. Like I have said, I have a black thumb, so the likelihood of this actually happening is narrow, but can you imagine looking at all of this everyday and the creativity that went into creating this courtyard? Be still my heart! Hope you enjoyed this glimpse into some garden inspiration I found.
